Each year, StruXure hosts a Dealer Summit for its ever-expanding coast-to-coast dealer network. This year’s Summit was held at Paris Las Vegas and was the biggest yet!
As the lead manufacturer of smart pergolas and cabanas in the United States, StruXure and its leadership team have long believed that sharing new innovations and recognizing achievements, in person, not only conveys commitment but is incredibly inspirational for everyone involved.
This year, nearly 400 attendees descended on Las Vegas on October 15 for a full day of education and celebration—StruXure style. The day began with a welcome breakfast, followed by breakout educational sessions—unveiling everything from new products to business strategies—and ending with a high-spirited reception and awards dinner.
Following is a summary of the educational sessions presented.
- SESSION 1 – Advance with Cabana X – With StruXure’s quest to never stop innovating, there are already important updates to StruXure’s newest product, Cabana X. This session unveiled the latest Cabana X enhancements, as well as the benefits of owning a Cabana X, and how to become a Cabana X dealer (a separate process from becoming a Pergola X dealer).
- SESSION 2 – New Products – Participants heard directly from the Product Development Team about new products that will be coming out over the next 12 months. The session reinforced StruXure’s commitment to design and innovation and their correlation to advancement and growth. It also provided the opportunity for dealers to meet StruXure’s uniquely talented R&D team members who are based in Grand Rapids, Michigan at StruXure’s new Innovation Lab.
- SESSION 3 – More Expansive Operating System – This session included updates from Somfy by Teleco (one of the largest manufacturers and supplier of controllers and drives for entrance gates, garage doors, blinds and awnings).
- SESSION 4 – Grow Your Business – Dealers learned key ways to scale their businesses through a proven process unique to selling StruXure products. They also learned about a new program – Let’s Get Social – where dealers learned why and how to create their own presence as a StruXure Brand Ambassador on social media.
During the mid-day luncheon, a special presentation was given by Jon Skelly, President at The AZEK Company (AZEK). Jon spoke about the outstanding qualities of StruXure’s products, people, and business model that initially attracted AZEK to StruXure as a business unit partner. Now, close to a year into AZEK’s acquisition of StruXure, Jon noted that the relationship is exactly what they’d hoped it would be and he noted AZEK’s enthusiasm for further providing the resources for StruXure’s continued growth and market superiority.
After a glitzy networking reception, the well-dressed crowd assembled in a spacious Paris Las Vegas ballroom for the culmination of the day, the Awards Dinner. In recognition of the tremendous dealer accomplishments over the past year, a slide presentation of outstanding projects served as the backdrop for several awards bestowed to dealers for their successes, tenacity, and skills. The dinner closed with an inspiring speech from StruXure’s founder and President, Scott Selzer. With a theme of “take it to the next level,” Scott reminded the group that making progress isn’t always comfortable. It may be intimidating. It may take extra work. But you won’t discover the possibilities unless you make a plan, take the shot, and believe.
One sign of a great company event is a sense of urgency by those in attendance to get back to work and put into action what they’ve just learned. Another is chatter about and anticipation for the next big event. Based on satisfaction surveys filled out by attendees, everyone is ready to “take it to the next level.” The best is yet to come!
